Summer Lunch, Bell Trophy, Quiz and Fairy House mini workshop

Monday 1^st was the last meeting of our year.  As usual we had a lovely buffet lunch with something for everyone, including a large dish of delicious strawberries.

On display - entries for the summer competition, ‘Zentangle';  completed pieces from the June Workshop ‘House on the Hill’ and Bukhara couching from the workshop held at the June meeting.

Val gave out the diary dates for the coming membership year starting on 2^nd  September with our Annual Meeting followed by an activity. 

Kathryn organised a fun quiz, guess the sewing object in the bag.  Difficult to feel what most of them were.  Kathryn also brought along a kit with everything included, for everyone to make a lovely little fairy house.

Janice’s Zentangle embroidery got most votes and won the Bell trophy, presented to her by Kathryn.  It must have been Janice’s lucky day she also won the raffle – a £25 voucher towards a workshop or membership fees.

A 'thank you' was given to Carol for organising the food; Val for sorting out the diary for the coming year and Kathryn for her work in organising the quiz and mini workshop.  

We are all looking forward to meeting up again on Monday 2nd September.
