How to use the Illuminated Scrip

with Kathryn

Following on from the Illuminated Script workshop at the April meeting Kathryn brought fabric that she had ironed and a selection of threads.  Members could then use their “letters” they had previously made or use a strawberry, or hedgehog  material, from the fabric provided. 

Getting to grips with the patchwork.

Kathryn had a demonstration piece of cathedral window patchwork this gave members an idea on how to use their "letters" and insert them into the fabric.  She broke down the technique into simple steps and monitored how everyone was managing, this made it easy for all.  Lesley brought along a bag of wool for the group to use as stuffing but sadly, no one got to this point.
