MONDAY 4TH DECEMBER

Christmas meeting

The doors were open at 12o’clock as usual with a number of members ready for a chat over lunch.  We were all thrilled that Val felt well enough to attend the meeting – even though she was still not very well.

During the day we had mince pies and apple pies as a treat.

Members who wanted to join the Christmas card swap brought a card and put it in the swap bag.

                                        Carol's prize winning entry

Members brought along their challenge pieces.  We were all given a length of Aida ribbon with either a green or red edging and transform it into something Christmassy.  The vote for the best piece was won by Carol.

Kathryn brought some strips of fabric for us all for the Christmas star mini workshop.  I think a number of us had already put our brains to have a rest for Christmas.  Some of us took quite awhile to twig what we were supposed to do.  Thank you for having lots of patience Kathryn.

We ended the afternoon with our present party game.  We all brought along an inexpensive present (suggested price £1), gift wrapped.  We all started off with our own present and Kathryn read a story – everytime she said right we passed right.  When she said left we passed left.  We all had to pay attention there were so many rights and lefts!  We all left knowing our right from left, and we all left with a present!
