 Monday 4th September

The first meeting after the summer break started as usual with the informal get together.  We had a new member Ann who came to visit.  We love people who are interested in threads coming to see if they would fit into the group.

At 2 pm we started our Annual meeting - hearing what we had done over the past year and what was coming in the year 2023 / 24.  Lots to look forward to. We have enough member to keep the group going forward.  Val was presented with flowers for all her hard work as Treasurer over the past few years as she steps down from the position she was only going to do for a year before covid!  Kathryn also received a plant for her birthday at the end of the month

The afternoon's activity was looking at all the different ways to make cords and braids.  It is hard to believe how many different types there are from the Kumihumo, the ancient art of Japanese braidmaking to the lucet, crochet and plaited braids

Thank you Kathryn for an enjoyable day
